Unless you have children, or religiously follow the cult of celebrity, you might have never heard of a Canadian teen pop sensation by the name of Justin Bieber.
Under most circumstances, we’d envy you — but it turns out hours of listening to tweens enthuse about this particular star have paid off. 
You see, Justin Bieber just turned 18. Like most 18 year olds, that meant lots of special birthday presents. 
Except, unlike most 18 year olds, Bieber was given a $102,000 Fisker Karma plug-in hybrid.

During his interview — in which DeGeneres praised Bieber for all his charity work — DeGeneres sprung the surprise. 
“Your amazing manager, who I adore, said that he had a gift that he wanted to give you on the show,” DeGeneres explained. 
To Bieber’s surprise, his manager of 5 years then walked on set.

“You work really hard, and I always yell at you ‘don’t get anything flashy. Be humble, be humble’”, Bieber’s manager Scott Braun told him.
“We wanted you to look environmentally friendly. We wanted to make sure, since you love cars, that when you’re on the road you are always looking environmentally friendly,” he continued with DeGeneres excitedly looking on.
“We decided to get you a car that would make you stand out. I think you know where I’m going, and you’re kind of freaking out right now,” he continued as DeGeneres stood by. “That’s a Fisker Karma!”
“Is this all-electric?” asked Bieber as he went to sit inside. “This is crazy! This is Amazing!’
Beiber is almost right. When the Karma’s battery pack depletes after an EPA-rated 32-miles of all-electric driving, a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine kicks in to power the car. 
It might not be the most energy-efficient plug-in car on the market, but it is certainly the best looking. 
And we’re pretty sure that Bieber is the youngest Karma owner yet.
