As you’ll no doubt be aware, websites such as AllCarsElectric and our sister site GreenCarReports use social media such as Twitter and Facebook to allow our readers to keep up to date with the latest EV and green car news.
We aren’t alone, either. Companies like Nissan, GM, THINK, Smart and various other manufacturers of EVs use social media to reach wider audiences too, and to benefit from users’ sharing of stories to pass information around in a way they’ve never been able to before.
That’s the theory anyway, and it’s a theory that MBA student Remy Tennant is basing his thesis on – the potential role of Web 2.0 (blogs, YouTube etc) and social media (Twitter, Facebook and others) in the dissemination of EVs. Remy has worked together with EV advocacy organisation Plug In America to design a short online survey.
You can help Remy by taking the survey – it should take no more than five minutes, and you’ll get entered into a draw for a $100 Amazon gift card. Click on the link below to take the survey:

Remy’s findings will be shared over time at http://evs-newmedia.tumblr.com and we’ll be keeping an eye on his findings too to bring you updates. In the meantime, you can help his cause by using social media yourself and sharing the survey wherever you see fit.
The results will no doubt make for interesting reading and we wish Remy the best of luck with his thesis.
You can find Remy’s Twitter page here.
