The all new 2010 Nissan Altima Hybrid will go on sale Monday with a base MSRP of $26,780. The vehicle will only be available in the same nine states that the outgoing model was offered in. The states include California, Connecticut, Maine, New York, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
Incorrect reports surfaced just days ago stating that the vehicle would be available nationwide. The reports stemmed from a statement distributed by Nissan which incorrectly stated the information. Unfortunately, the vehicle will not be offered nationwide at this time.
The Altima Hybrid pairs Nissan’s QR25 2.5 liter 4 cylinder engine to a CVT transmission and an electric motor. The system outputs a total of 198 hp and has been awarded an EPA rating of 35 mpg city, 33 mpg highway. With 20 gallons of fuel on board, this vehicle can travel more than 600 miles on a single tank.
Though the EPA rating are certainly not groundbreaking, the radically restyled Altima Hybrid is a real looker amongst hybrid models. The redesign includes a freshened hood, grill, and front fascia as well as new wheel choices, a restyled interior and fresh exterior color choices.
The 2010 Nissan Altima Hybrid will be available to purchase from your local dealer in one of the nine states listed above on Monday.
