Wealth? Success? Power? All of these fade to insignificance as ways to show you’ve “made it” in life, compared to a guest appearance on The Simpsons.
Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk has certainly made it, and to prove it he’ll be guest-starring in the 26th season of the popular cartoon comedy.

Not only will Musk appear in the episode, reports Jalopnik, but he’ll pretty much dominate it.
Far from a brief cameo, the Paypal, Tesla and SpaceX billionaire will apparently star in the episode, bankrupting The Simpsons’ own billionaire character, 104-year old nuclear plant owner Mr Burns.
It’s likely Musk’s belief in sustainable energy will play a part in the episode, and we’d not be surprised to see a cartoonized version of the Model S either–though that wouldn’t be the first time the car has appeared in a cartoon.
It won’t be Musk’s first cameo appearance playing himself either, having previously appeared in Iron Man 2 alongside Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow.

The news was broken by executive producer Al Jean at San Diego’s Comic-Con, a convention so large that automakers themselves are now dropping product placements there.
Among those fielding vehicles in movie and comic-themed displays were Chrysler, Hyundai and MINI, as well as startup Elio Motors with its three-wheeled, $6,800 concept.
As far as high-profile goes though, a Tesla guest appearance in The Simpsons tops them all…
