With gas prices still low and the increasingly aged Prius Liftback model still in showrooms, Toyota continues to offer generous incentives for its signature hybrid.
As in the previous two months, there are some good deals to be had in June on the Toyota Prius hybrid lineup.
However, these deals apply only to southern California–where a great many Prius models have been sold over the years.

The new round of incentives includes a $2,000 gas card for 24-month Prius leases in the region, according to Cars Direct.
This applies only to the 2015 Prius Liftback, not the Prius C subcompact, Prius V wagon, and Prius Plug-In Hybrid derivatives.
The offer can also be combined with $500 in discounts already available on Prius leases in southern California.

That means buyers can lease a Prius Two model for $239 per month for 24 months, with $1,999 due at signing.
This is actually $20 more per month than Toyota’s best 36-month Prius lease offer but, combined with the gas card, it can add up to savings rivaling those on plug-in electric cars–which benefit from a variety of Federal, state, and local incentives not offered for hybrids.
Separately, Toyota has also added new and higher incentives for the Prius Plug-In Hybrid in southern California.

Lease discounts have been increased from $2,500 to $4,000 for 2015 models, Cars Direct says.
That drops the monthly rate for leasing a Prius Plug-In to $259 per month.
Toyota is ending Prius Plug-In production this month, although it may be some time before a new model arrives.

All Prius “family” models in southern California also qualify for a $500 loyalty bonus.
Toyota will also waive up to the final six months of payments for leases ending June 2 through September 8.
The increased incentives are likely a measure to keep Prius sales afloat until an all-new fourth-generation model arrives late this year or early in 2016.
Camouflaged prototypes of new model have been spotted on public roads, but the new Prius likely won’t debut until the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show in November at the earliest.
Production is expected to start in Japan by December, although the fourth-generation Prius may arrive in the U.S. carrying a 2017 model-year designation.
A new Prius Plug-In Hybrid isn’t anticipated to start production until October 2016, with other Prius variants potentially following it after a few years.
